Um grupo de fãs conhecido como The Forest Of Illusion conseguiu uma oportunidade que muitos desejariam de colocar suas mãos em um cartucho que tem um protótipo do jogo The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time usada para tará apresentando durante a Space World em 1997.
As novidades encontradas nesta versão do game esta uma espécie de grama que serve para chamar Epona, uma mina terrestre e notas musicais que é utilizada para iniciar uma determinada canção e entre outras novidades.

We have a prototype Nintendo 64 cartridge of F-Zero X that contained data from an early build of Zelda 64 that used to be on the cartridge. We're estimating it's from Spaceworld 1997. We're going to look into this more. Of course everything will be released. pic.twitter.com/Q5SoAbsdWM

As histórias dos jogos também vai ser diferente. Link vai pegar as pedras espirituais a pedido da princesa Zelda e enquanto isso ela descobriria como entrar no templo do tempo e também outra mudança feita seria que no início o herói iria resgatar todas as fadas da grande floresta.
